Stride Gum’s Mission to Save the Arcade
Posted on August 12th, 2009 in General | Comments Off

The golden age of coin-op gaming is behind us, but there are still some hold-outs dedicated to keeping the flame alive.
The makers of the chewing gum Stride plans to donate $25,000 to a struggling arcade. They’re letting the public decide which joint gets the dough by playing a retro-styled Flash game.
Folks who play Zapataur can grant the points the score to one of four local gaming havens. The one with the most points at the end of the contest will get the cash and, hopefully, fix that blasted Kangaroo machine that keeps eating our tokens.
