SCEE Ready to Launch Video Service in Europe

America as been ejoying this service for a long time and Europeans have been requesting it for even longer. Well Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced or answered by revealing a partial list of movies that will launch with the European PlayStation Network Video Delivery Service this month.
The service is set to launch in November in the UK, France, Germany, and Spain, with other regions slated for 2010. Film studios that will take part in the service include 20th Century Fox, Disney-ABC-ESPN Television1, Lionsgate2, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, Starz Media2, Universal, Warner Bros and several other local studios. The video service will offer PS3 and PSP owners a chance to download high quality movies, available to buy or rent. Details on pricing have yet to be announced.
Some of the movies set for launch include:
• Bruno
• Angels & Demons
• Casino Royale
• Crank 2: High Voltage
• Hannah Montana: The Movie
• Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
• Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
• The Hills Have Eyes
• Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
So let’s hope that we here in South Africa still fall under the UK devision, as I have had a lucky chance or two to see the video store on the USA Store. And wow the content is awesome, so fingers crossed. News Source.
